Decorum Review
Written by jonathan hickman art by mike huddleston published by image comics.
Decorum review. There is just so much going on in decorum 1 visually that it s difficult to break it down. A purple ruffly dress a pale orange gown and a white long sleeved wedding dress with buttons all up the back. Decorum is a unique mix of exposition via biotech adds and graphic narratives similar to your normal comic book.
The next day i read decorum again and had a eureka moment. However there s just a lot going on in this issue that sets it apart from other comics on the market. You couldn t have asked for a better beginning.
Decorum 1 review by. I first read the book while semi drunk and didn t like it at all. Huddleston isn t afraid to leave some pages with the apparent illusion that they are still rough around the edges.
Decorum is very clearly an ambitious series both in its wide storytelling scope but also it in the fact that it is able to dedicate an issue to more conventional narrative beats and still feel like there are a dozen more worlds and stories that hickman and huddleston are just waiting to reveal. The story is disjointed. There s story ideas character mystery and action in abundance.
Mike huddleston s breathtaking art steals the show in jonathan hickman s latest offering. I read it again while distracted and a lot of the story went over my head. Kaaren christopherson goodreads author 3 43 rating details 184 ratings 49 reviews.
This book gets three gorgeous gowns out of 5. Writer jonathan hickman is all over the place these days. I would wear all these dresses.
